Zion Family Camping - August 15-17 - at Cooks Forest State Park, Cooksburg, PA  16217 (814) 744-8407.  Check-in is 3:00 p.m., and check-out is 3:00 p.m.  You may camp with your pets.  There is fishing, biking, horse-back riding, canoeing, and other opportunities to spend time with your family in the great outdoors.  Campers are responsible for calling 1-888-PA-PARKS to make their own reservation.  Sites MUST be reserved.  It would be wise to reserve them as early as possible, to be sure of getting a site.  More details are posted near the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex hall.  If you have any questions, contact Cheryl Peters.

On April 15, United Methodist Women will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Library.  We will prepare sunshine baskets for shut-ins and those with long-term illness.  Bring wrapping paper (small pieces can be used).

April 19---Camp Allegheny Work Day-- Volunteers are need to help get the camp ready for summer.  Those wishing to carpool will meet at the church at 6:00 a.m. sharp.  We should return to the church around 6:00 p.m.  Breakfast and lunch are provided.  There are all kinds of jobs to do, both inside and outside.  The camp needs whatever skills you have to offer.

The Spring Blood Drive will be held on April 17, from 4:00-8:00 p.m.  Sign-up sheets are in the narthex.  Please note that walk-ins are welcome but appointments will be honored.

MISSION ENCOUNTER SUNDAY--APRIL 20, 2008--In less than a month, Zion will hold its sixth Mission Encounter Sunday.  Many groups will once again be represented by people who love working for the Lord.  Some of these faces will be familiar, some may not be as recognizable, but all have that "glow" that comes from using their hearts and hands to build up the Kingdom.  We encourage each person to find a mission that excites you and makes you want to be a part of it.  So COME, WORSHIP, LEARN, EAT, and GO OUT into our world and minister.  Be a Pray-er, Play-er, or Pay-er.

Boy Scout Troop #2 is having a spaghetti dinner on April 26 at St. Luke in Hannahstown from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
