Pastor Seth

Pastor Seth has been the senior pastor of Zion Methodist Community Church since July 2021. He has been in ministry since 1993, first serving as the pastor of State Line UMC outside North East, PA. He earned his M.Div. at Asbury Theological Seminary and has served Duke Center UMC, Y.E.S.S. Shared Ministry, Grace UMC in Warren (associate), Covenant UMC, and First UMC in Bradford.

Children’s Director Donna Scholl

Donna has been the Director of Education & Children’s Ministries since May 1984. She graduated from California State College, now known as Penn West California, with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Before she came to Zion, she taught third and fourth grade in Nicholas County, West Virginia. She also owned and operated Trinity Nursery School. God’s call on her heart is to offer children an opportunity to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Donna also handles the use of Zion’s facilities for outside groups.

Choir Director Davlin Smith

Music and ministry have always been a part of my life. After moving to Cabot in 2001 with my husband, David, then pastor at Buffalo Presbyterian, I joined Zion as Choir Director in 2006, and it has continued to be a big part of my life. I enjoy leading choirs and directing worship. Over the years, I’ve conducted the Brotherhood, led the Praise Team, the kids’ choir, and the Adult Choir. I also brought stories to life through plays, musicals, and concerts in the surrounding communities. Today, I share my home with two beloved fur babies, and the Zion family—especially the choirs—has become my chosen family, filling my life with song, spirit, and love.
